Unfortunately, the manufacturers are still not able to agree on one specific format. This is partially due to the fact that the manufacturers pursue different economic interests and are divided into different alliances. The DVD+RW stock rivals with the DVD-RW manufacturers from Toshiba, Panasonic und Pioneer. Some manufacturers of burners have already positioned themselves for this “format war” and equipped their burners with both formats. Both formats are suitable for normal use – for recording videos, music or pictures.
